(HH Kadamba Kanana Swami, 4th March 2012, New York) Lecture: Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Adi-lila 9.37

So Krishna Consciousness is quite refreshing because here we see Krishna Himself is active. Krishna Himself has desires! He is not a God who is seated on a throne and sending blessings down to those who are doing good to others! No, He Himself is intriguing and entering into people's lives, even unasked for and just deciding to interfere…. and upsetting everything – like rollover their car. Or doing something else exciting. Just to bring them to the point where they start to think that:

'What am I doing here?'

So in this way one can see Krishna's hand in this world and that's not difficult to see!

Arriving in New York City

Posted: 06 Mar 2012 12:47 PM PST

It was five years that Kadamba Kanana Maharaja had not visited the United States of America, but recently he once again flew into New York City on the 1st of March.

Straight after landing he went to the Bhakti Center, a six storey temple in Manhattan, and joined a kirtana program with Bada Hari Prabhu, performing a new Harmonium tune (click here to get access to all the kirtanas and classes in New York thus far).

Over the next three days he continued to stay in the Bhakti centre, giving classes, another Kirtana program, with Bada Hari Prabhu, and a Sunday feast. Also he went on a walk to Tompkins Square Park, the land mark of where the Krsna conscious movement started! And, of course he also visited 26th Second Avenue – Matchless Gifts! Enjoy the pictures!
