(HH Kadamba Kanana Swami, 6th March 2012, New York) Lecture: Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Adi-lila 17.200

So Trivikrama Maharaja gave a talk, and within the talk he suddenly said:

'I thought about this point for a long time and I have some doubt. I have a doubt and I feel that I have to share this right now. I have a doubt about Prabhupada!'

It becomes dead silent, and there are fifteen hundred devotees who are standing there, and everyone is like:

'Oh, my god!'

He said:

'Yeah, I have a doubt in Prabhupada….I'm not so sure that he went back to Godhead.'

And everyone is looking and thinking:

'Oh god, he's gone off….Oh god, Trivikrama Maharaja of all…..went off!'

Then he went on to say:

'Yes, I'm not so sure if Prabhupada went back to Godhead! Sometimes I think that he has appeared again and is doing it now in another universe!'

The emblem of servitorship

(HH Kadamba Kanana Swami, 6th March 2012, New York) Lecture: Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Adi-lila 17.200

Isvara Puri became the spiritual master of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. One could ask the question:

'Since the Supreme Lord is not exactly as limited as we are in His choice for a spiritual master, so why didn't Caitanya Mahaprabhu directly choose Madhavendra Puri?'

He could have made Madhavendra Puri appear a little later…. He could have just edited Isvara Puri out of the pastime and just been a direct disciple of Madhavendra Puri, no problem. But no He didn't become the disciple of the great famous ācārya…………………………….the interesting part is that the qualification of Isvara Puri was that (not that he was not the famous ācārya) he was the humble servant.

That was his outstanding quality, since we recall that during the last days of Madhavendra Puri he was bedridden and actually paralysed! Such a devotee had to go through that suffering, but yet he was given service by Isvara Puri who with such a dedicated manner had cleansed his body even from stools and other things. Disease can be rough. He was the emblem of servitorship.

It was his incredible service attitude that qualified him to become the spiritual master of the Supreme Lord………………………………. So He is highlighting service attitude as a very important qualification!

Gaura Purnima in New York

Posted: 14 Mar 2012 02:38 AM PDT

The further stay in New York city especially centered around Gaura Purinma. Leading up to that auspicious day, Kadamba Kanana Maharaja already gave many classes on the Caitanya Caritamrita, elaborating on different topics, particularly focusing on Advaita Acarya and Srivasa Thakura.

On the Gaura Purnima day itself, Maharaja went to Radha-Govinda, who reside in the Brooklyn temple, just a half hour drive away from the Bhakti Centre. There Romapada Maharaja gave a talk about the glorious appearence of Lord Caitanya and Kadamba Kanana Maharaja led Bhajanas.

Then on Saturday, there was a Gaura Purnima celebrtaion in Jersey, which took place in a Hilton hotel, organized by Madhu Pati Prabhu, a godbrother of Kadamba Kanana Maharaja. It was a beautiful program, consisting of many theater plays, ecstatic Kirtana and a talk on Lord Gauranga’s appearence by Maharaja.

Then on Sunday the celebration continued in the Bhakti Centre where once again the golden avatar was glorified by kirtana and ecstatic Katha.
