Anyone who knows that Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead is an extraordinary person in this world. He is amongst a very very few...but that in itself is a great beginning. But still one must purify the heart in order to see Krishna more complete. One may have some level of intellectual understanding that Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead and therefore be engaged in worshipping the Lord but meanwhile the heart is full of material desires...postive and negative. Positive in the sense: material desires for enjoyment and negative material desires in the sense: for destruction, desires to destroy one’e enemies, desires to lord over one’s competitors, desires to destroy undesirable things...because we are not as sweet as we would like to look...at our own image..in reality we are suffering from material conditioning and material delusion which is classified in Bhagavad Gita as (Sanskrit)...being two fold. On the one hand being controlled by lust and being on the other hand controlled by envy. So these two are harassing us in all of our dealings. So naturally at times we get a little envious towards all other creatures. It is not possible to be free from such conditioning. The nature of this type of conditioning is further classified in Bhagavatd gita ....(Sanskrit) you are dealing with the eternal enemy. The eternal enemy covers the consciousness. So this is the problem. The problem is that the consciousness remains covered and therefore one can not see Krishsna clearly.
