Dhruva Maharaja was an ideal king, he practically emptied his treasury to give to charity. The king is not meant to simply get tax from the citizens and spend the wealth on sense gratification.
World monarchy has failed ever since the kings tried to satisfy their personal senses from the taxes accumulated from the citizens., of course whether it is monarchy or democracy it is the same - corruption is still going on.
You may remember George Orwell’s ‘Animal farm’ (novel) where the animals kicked out the farmer. Since they needed a ruler the pigs volunteered.
They stood on their hind legs - after a while they moved in to the house of the farmer because it was easier to administrate – and after a little while the farm began to look like it was before!
At one point, this truck came to pick up an old horse to the slaughter house and there was a big protest and all the animals said:
“We thought that we were all equal?”
The pigs answered: ‘Yess, but some are more equal than others’
So that is communism.
