Hundreds of devotees attended the morning programme and then at 7.30am devotees walked to the Goshalla. There were big kirtans and the smaller Deities of Gaura Nitai and Krsna Balarama were also taken to the Goshalla. In the big tent there were many senior devotees with Maharaja, including Srutakirti Prabhu, Bhakti Vishvamba Madhava Swami and many others. Kadamba Kanana Swami performed the arati to the cows and then there were some brilliant talks by the devotees on the stage.
While I was taking pictures of the cows, the Deities and the devotees, a cow in front of me had a call of nature and I got sprayed by the cow dung over my kurta and dhoti! Just minutes after incident the glories of cow urine and cow dung were enthusiastically explained by Bhakti Vishvamba Madhava Swami - it was confirmed, it was all auspicious!
Kadamba Kanana Swami gave an inspiring talk on the importance of cows and cow protection. (transcript will be on soon)
After the talks the devotees sang and carried the Deities to the temple. There was a super crowded festival in the Krsna Balarama temple hall where a Huge Govardhana made of sweets, pakoras, fruits and honey was circumbulated! Then there was then another big mighty feast!
