Naturally so many sacrifices are being performed for fulfilling our personal interest. Such sacrifices which we tend to engage in for our own personal interest, are actually not really of benefit. It’s the sacrifice to the Supreme Lord that brings actual benefit to the Lord and ourselves. The Lord is not dependent on our arrangement, because he’s atmaram. Atmaram means another yuga. He is known to be fully satisfied within oneself. He is independent. He has therefore no need for any offerings on our side. But the offerings are benefiting us. We are making offerings to the Supreme Lord- we are benefiting, and if we understand actually the whole purpose of life, is to make offerings and to offer our entire life, that actually is the aim.
