From A to B

In the theater some great drama was being staged and the critics are there from different newspapers who are writing something about the performance.
So this critic wrote that emotions being displayed in this play were going from the entire range from A to B.
So this is our existence in this world. We are going trough love stories, we are going trough separation, we are going trough anxieties, we are going trough anger, and we are going trough entire rasa, the entire range of all the emotions from A to B.

Be brave!

The resistance comes from material attachments. To maintain material attachments even after receiving so many instructions in this subject matter. That’s what it is this resistance.
And how to overcome?-by being brave. We have to be brave in Krishna consciousness.Brave to choose for Krishna. We cannot just be ordinary devotees. We cannot just be a common, you know, and just let our spiritual life come along. No.We have to be brave to do something special for Krishna. That’s what is required!Let’s try and be en exception. Let’s not just try and be just of the average standard and say: “Well, we are devotees, everybody is doing it like this and you cannot expect anything more from us.” No.

Let’s be brave. Let’s do something brave for Krishna and Prabhupada. Than we will conquer that. And we see in the Scriptures the descriptions of those who conquered. And those who conquered- they all made a special endeavor, than they conquered that resistance, that tendency of being dominated by the material tendencies.
So let us try something extraordinary in our own way, according to our own inspiration and our own… whatever it may be. But in our own field let us do something extraordinary for Krishna. Let us not just look to the left, look to the right and say: “What are they doing? Well, I am not going to do anything more than they.”No.

It is between us and Krishna.

We have to do something special, and that is what we see in all the descriptions of the Bhagavatam; all these pastimes, all these personalities- they all did something special- all of them-and they all got a special mercy. And it is by mercy… it is by mercy that we are going to be purified.
We cannot purify ourselves, it is by mercy. We must attract mercy. Sadhana bhakti is a process that is for us very difficult to follow. Kripa- we need mercy of the devotees of the sadhus, of real saintly people, and we need mercy of Krishna.
Now, saintly people, they are merciful but they are not getting too much involved with people who are too materially entangled- a little bit to give mercy but than they withdraw from association. So the more one is endeavoring however to be Krishna conscious, the saintly people will notice that. “This person is very conditioned but in the same time endeavoring very much. This one I will give the mercy. This one I will give.” So the saintly people want to give their mercy so they are looking for devotees who are making special endeavor, and they will give if they see that.
And we can equally attract the mercy of Krishna, by special endeavor.

This is the only way. There is no other way- You have to be brave.

Brave means trust Krishna.

Thinking about investing? Great interest rates!

In Nectar of Devotion 64 qualities of Krishna are listed and number 17 is that Krishna is grateful.

It is described how Draupadi was in that awkward position… and they tried to disrobe her. At first she tried to hold on. But what could she do? She just threw her hands up in the sky and said: “He Govinda!” She called out the name of Krishna. And Krishna says:”Whenever I remember how Draupadi just called out My name and surrendered to Me than My hearth melts.”
And it is said that whenever Krishna remembers how Draupadi took shelter of Him in such a difficult situation, than Krishna becomes grateful in His heart, and His appreciation is increasing. Every time He thinks of that He feels so much appreciation and each time His appreciation gets more and more and more.

Now, Krishna has a perfect memory and He remembers everything eternally. So we can understand that His appreciation is growing eternally. In Bhagavad-gita we have that famous verse (BG 2.40.)
nehabhikrama-naso 'sti
pratyavayo na vidyate
sv-alpam apy asya dharmasya
trayate mahato bhayat

That verse is sometimes referred to as a spiritual bank balance verse. It is the verse where it is said that whatever little bit of devotional service you do it is never lost- it goes to the spiritual bank balance and later on you pick up there. Now this statement of the Nectar of Devotion is linked with that verse because it is describing the interest that you get.

So, not only there is a spiritual bank balance, but there is also a very good interest rate.

If you want to invest your savings in any bank than go for the spiritual bank balance because you get unlimited interest- you cannot lose!
