Who will take the greatest mercy? Posted: 11 Apr 2012 04:05 PM PDT (H H Kadamba Kanana Swami, 28th March 2012, Cape Town, South Africa) Lecture: CC-Adi 11.3
'Please bless me. Please give some mercy!' 'nimitta-mātraṁ bhava savya-sācin' (Bg 11.33). We want to somehow or other maintain the maximum independence that we can. So maybe: 'I'm herewith surrender my life.' But what we mean to say: 'The minimum that we have to, and please I'm of good will, so don't be heavy with me.' And that is more or less our true mood in surrender. It is very difficult and if the spiritual authority doesn't give us any room then we feel: 'Well, he's not qualified to actually be a spiritual authority because he really doesn't understand and he is insensitive.'
