Srila Prabhupada didn't care. He didn't care about statistics. He was ready to go anywhere and everywhere! Of course, it's true that when Prabhupada visited Mexico, that there was a special response, because the Mexicans came to the program in large numbers, and they realised that Prabhupada was a saint (they really didn't care that he wasn't Catholic or anything like that), they knew that he was a saint. So they wanted blessings, and so there was a riot.

After the lecture, Prabhupada went to his quarters and the people were just making a lot of noise, and Prabhupada said:

"What is it? Why are they making so much noise?"

Some devotees went down and finally came back and said:

The people were still not quiet since they want blessings!"

And Prabhupada said:

"Okay, let them in".

There were two doors, in there.

So he said:

"They can come through the one door and go out from the other".

They all came in and Prabhupada put his hand on each and everyone of their heads, and gave them blessings. And they were so happy! That's Mexico for you. So there is some piety there undoubtedly. So piety is undoubtedly an essence!
