Back to South Africa

After Gaura Purnima, HH Kadamba Kanana Swami flew from Australia to South Africa. After a transit stop in Johannesburg, Maharaja arrived in Cape Town for a week-long visit.

The first two days were spent with devotees in Pringle Bay, a beach town near Hermanus. Thereafter Maharaja gave a series of seminars at the Bhakti Yoga Society Student Retreat held at the Cape Town temple. His presentations focused on creating Sacred Space, simple living and internal reflections.

The week continued with the Sunday Feast lecture, university preaching and house programs.

Sydney Ratha Yatra

These are nice pictures of the Ratha Yatra in Sydney CBD. The procession went from Hyde Park to Darling Harbour. It was one and a half hours of ecstatic Kirtana and dancing throughout the way. On the arrival there was a big Arati for Lord Jagannatha.

Visiting Govinda Valley

After Kadamba Kanana Swami left Brisbane, (the first nine pictures are from the last night in Brisbane) he visited Govinda Valley for one day.
Govinda Valley is a beautiful area surrounded by untouched nature, which is close to Sydney and the devotees there celebrated an early Goura Purnima festival.
Kadamba Kanana Swami gave a class on bases of the Caitanya Caritamrita and sang the Goura Arati.

12 Hour Kirtana in Melbourne

On Saturday a 12 hour kirtana took place in the ISKCON Melbourne temple in Australia. Kadamba Kanana Swami held the first hour of Kirtana with extatic melodies and sang again in the evening. A lot of people came to the kirtana and the mood was really extatic. You can see a nice slideshow with images of this nice evening.

Brisbane

Kadamba Kanana Swami spent the last three days in Brisbane, where he gave Bhagavatam classes in the morning and classes about the Caitanya Caritamrita in the evening. The stay was calm, but Kadamba Kanana Swamis lectures still were powerful and extatic.

Initation ceremony in Melbourne

On wednesdey morning (09.02.) there was an initiation ceremony in the Melbourne temple. One Mataji received second initiation and three devotees became first initiated: Gaurakishore Dasa, his son Harinamananda Dasa and a mataji, with the new name Maha Lakshmi Devi Dasi. HH Kadamba Kanana Swami gave a wonderful lecture to inspire the devotees, which you can view in a post below.

Latest Pics from Berlin!!!

Hare Krishna Everyone, enjoy the latest pics from Berlin - in ten minutes we are going to the aiprport and going to Radhadesh. There will be a big Kirtana festival with Maharaja, Sacinandana Maharaja and Madhava Prabhu.

Kadamba Kanana Swami in South Africa- July 2010

New Jagannatha Puri Ratha Yatra in Phoenix, Durban wouldn't have been the same without Kadamba Kanana Maharaja. Besides the fantastic kirtanas and meldious bhajanas, Maharaja really gave it all in his deeply churning classes dealing with the "sacred space."
